I'm a subscriber to Military Spouse Magazine and as I was reading December's issue I found something that I just had to share. It's a rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas, written by Babette Maxwell, the founder and executive editor of the magazine. ENJOY!
On the twelfth day of Christmas the service gave to me...
- a 12- month deployment
- 11 mailed boxes
- 10 Skype-ing session
- 9 dropped phone calls
- 8 fundraisers
- 7 spouse club meetings
- 6 ER visits
- 5 missed birthdays... (that's it...drag it out now!)
- 4 backed up tubs (or toliets...I added that one)
- 3 sleeves rolled up (Oo-rah!)
- 2 flat tires
- And... orders to a new country!
