Holiday Gift Guide: MOVIE TIME- Scooby- Doo Mystery Inc Season 2

I'm a little late getting these up but today is MOVIE DAY! There were so many movies to come out for the kids on DVD these past two weeks that my head is spinning! I love DVDs because they are an inexpensive holiday gift that the kids love and the parents too. Why? Because the kids sit and watch them quietly so the parents can have a break! Agree??

Well, I know I say this all the time but we have a pretty extensive Scooby- Doo DVD collection. This includes old ones, new ones, live action movies, we have them all! As long as they keep making Scooby-Doo DVDs, I'll keep buying them. The kids love them and so do I.

The latest Scooby-Doo phase is the Mystery Incorporated TV series. Last week, November 13, Season 2 was released on DVD. Now I don't know if you got wrapped up in Season 1 (I did) but Season 2 is even better. Check out the synopsis (I would give my own but I'm scared I would give away too much):

In Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Season 2 Part 1: Danger in the Deep, the gang returns to their hometown, Crystal Cove, to solve a series of baffling mysteries. First on the agenda is the elusive Crybaby Clown, who tortures the Cove’s inhabitants and evades Scooby-Doo and the gang’s every attempt to capture him. Velma travels to Russia and comes face-to-face with legendary witch, Baba Yaga. A creature named Dreamweaver begins to haunt people’s dreams. Crystal Cove is attacked by a menacing beast known as the Hodag of Horror. It’s a season filled with engaging mysteries and dramatic developments that’s not to be missed!
My Take: Of course the kids wanted to watch the entire DVD in one sitting! They have seen all the episodes on Cartoon Network but that doesn't stop them from watching them over and over again. They are absolutely obsessed with the Cry Baby Clown where I on the other hand, can't stand it. I'm not a big fan of clowns. What I love most about this series is it's great for kids and for adults. Sometimes the whole plot and themes can be a little bit much for little ones to understand but it's still entertaining and not too scary for little ones. Now my kids are 3 and 4  and they aren't scared of much but the scenes are still appropriate enough for them to be able to watch. Definitely up to a parent's discretion.

Buy it: You can purchase Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated Season 2 Part 1 for the SRP of $19.97.

Disclosure: This DVD was provided to me at no charge by the company in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
