I'm not sure if you have seen Sid the Science Kid but if you haven't then it's one cartoon you should really check out. As all Americans know, science and math aren't exactly our educational strong points. That's why I love this cartoon. It is specifically geared towards science and even better- preschool age science. It's a fun show full of education, songs and interactive moments. My kids were addicted. Well, until they started to see the same episodes over and over.
Well, now there's a solution to that! Sid is back with a week of all new episodes starting Monday, Nov. 12. The week is all about " Living Things" and it will star America Ferrera as the voice of marine biologist Dr. Rosalinda Cordova.
My Take: We got the pleasure of previewing one of the new episodes: “The Reason Sid’s Sneezin’”. It's a super cute episode all about allergies and it was perfect for my kids. Our whole family suffers from seasonal allergies and we all take medication for this. My son watched the episode three times today, yes three, because he loved it so much! He kept talking about how he sneezes and he must be "lergic" to something. Now the kids can't wait to see the rest of the episodes next week. Check out this cute little clip to see what I mean:
So head on over to your local PBS channel and see what time Sid the Science Kid will be airing in your neck of the woods. Trust me, you and your kids won't regret it!
Disclosure: I received an advanced screening DVD of one of the episodes to help facilitate this information. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
