A much needed Spa break with the girls! #NIVEAmoments

Some people think stay at home moms have nothing but time. Oh how I wish that were true. It wasn't until I tried to get together a few of my girlfriends for a much needed spa time did I realize just how busy we actually are. Attempt 1: Can't find what I need for the party. (Yeah part of that is from being a slacker). Attempt 2: One friend has a family emergency, another friend is on a much needed vacation, one friend has a husband leaving for training and another friend has a sick little girl! Finally, attempt 3! Score! I called over 2 moms from my daughter's class and invited them over right after we dropped off the kids at school.

Now I love to entertain and with the weather getting cold I'm really concerned about my skin. The air gets cold and my skin immediately gets dry, especially my hands. So I really wanted my spa party to concentrate on hand care. My feature product was the Nivea Essentially Enriched Twin Pack Regimen. Lucky for me you can get this at one of my most favorite stores:

What I love about Sam's Club? It was basically a one stop shop for my spa party. Not only did I pick up the

NIVEA at Sam's Club but I also picked up some yummy appetizers and drinks for my spa party. You can

I honestly have to admit I'm not really great at relaxing but I'm great at entertaining. I looked on the internet and found this wonderful DIY hand soak. I grabbed a bowl and prepared it for the ladies and we got to soaking! By the way, the soak was simple. I included the recipe right below the picture so you can enjoy it yourself.

2 cups water

1 cup milk

1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil

pinch of cinnamon for scent

mix and microwave until warm and soak hands for 5-10 minutes

After we soaked our hands we tried out the Nivea lotion. I personally have never tried Nivea before and pumped a ton into my hand. I usually use a lot of lotion to make sure my hands are super moisturized. Well let me tell you something...with Nivea, you only need a little. It completely coated and seemed to make a protective seal over my hands. Normally I have to apply the lotion constantly throughout the day but Nivea lasted for several hours, including hand washes. Both moms agreed. One even said the only reason she didn't buy Nivea was because of the price. She didn't know she could get it for an affordable bulk size price at Sam's! We also enjoyed a glass of sparkling cider (hey it was 10 in the morning) and some light appetizers along with some much needed girl talk about beauty routines, losing weight and our kids...LOL. 

After the party...yes it didn't end until noon, I sent the ladies home with cute little skin care packages, including their own bottle of Nivea! They were both too excited and we all agreed we need to plan this for another time...SOON!
