Our Royal Ball Halloween Bash! #DisneyPrincessWMT

Honestly, I never need a reason to party it up with my kids and their friends so when I was offered an opportunity to host a Disney Princess Halloween party for my daughter and a few of her friends I jumped all over it!

You may have seen my post earlier about the release of the Cinderella Diamond Edition Blu-Ray/DVD at Walmart. They even had some cool retailtainment events at the stores to celebrate this release. Although we missed the events, we did download the Royal Ball app which is an augmented reality app that any princess (or in my house the little prince too) can enjoy. If you don't know about Augmented Reality is basically interactive apps that put you and your surroundings right into a new world. In this case it's preparing to attend a Royal Ball just like a Disney Princess. There's even special features you can unlock at your local Walmart. You can check out all the details, including how to download the app, in my post HERE.

Now after playing the app about..oh..10,000 times- we were ready to party. Of course I went overboard. You can see my shopping adventure in my Google + Album. I mean what fun. First I invited over 6 of my daughters friends and had them dress in their princess dresses. We tried to take a group picture but you can see how hard it is to get 6, 2-5 year olds to stand still...LOL

Then the real fun began. Since the girls are so young we were going more towards a fun costume party than scary. I love that Walmart now has decorations for a Disney Princess party vs a Disney Princess BIRTHDAY party. The decorations were awesome and made it super easy to decorate. I did throw in a few Halloween themed decorations too (there are ghosts hanging and a spider in the window...hehehe). Each girl had a cute little cup full of party favors to take home.

I think the most fun for me was the food. I'm trying to get more and more creative with my party dishes and my friends love this. Trust me, this was a first go for some of these but the kids loved it. I did pumpkin treats (Cinderella), Princess tea cakes (Sleeping Beauty), Under the Sea treats (Aeriel), Poison Apple Pies (Snow White), and Tiara tea sandwiches.

But that's not all! What's a Disney Princess Halloween Party without a little bit of "bad"?? I told the girl's that I had contacted one of the witches from a Princess movie and she sent me some bubbly potion (cool kit I found at the store) to serve in their dainty tea cups. The girls were amazed as they watched the potion bubble as I stirred it and some were a little scared to drink it because they didn't want to: "turn into a frog", "fall asleep", or lose their magic powers!

Finally we played a few fun games including musical chairs and Pin the Tiara on the Princess (a blown up poster of my daughter in her Cinderella costume)They all had so much fun that I had lots of moms calling me and telling me that their girls fell asleep on the way home...LOL

Now if you want to have as much fun as we did with our #DisneyPrincessWMT Halloween bash, there are a few sites you should really check out. First, head on over and follow Disney on Twitter. Then head on over and like Cinderella and Disney Princess on Facebook. Finally, if you want to know more about the Disney Princess Brand at Walmart then check out their social channel and Walmart.com.
