Granted my son's favorite parts consist of putting the dog in the oven and sticking and "un-sticking" the different pieces to everything. My daughter on the other hand loves to play out these elaborate stories with the characters about fixing meals and swinging in the chair. Gotta love it.
Now what they really loved was the second box of Polly Pocket toys that I received. First let's talk about the DVD. I thought the kids would be the most interested in the actual toy but they grabbed the DVD first thing and wanted to watch it and watch it and watch it. I think they have it memorized. They were up dancing and my daughter especially love how brave and "cool" Polly was on her skateboard. (But really, who could actually handle that course, or is that just me being a realist? LOL).
Then came the toys. This time we received the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Play Set. My daughter loves animals so she couldn't wait for me to put the set together. She's at the age she's really into pretend play so this was perfect. There were so many interactive pieces. Like the pet washing station and the pet carousel!
I must say she was a little disappointed that the pieces didn't have suction cups (honestly I was too because I absolutely love that feature) but it didn't really matter because she just integrated pieces from the other sets with this set. We also found a quick solution to keeping up with the individual pieces:
Polly Pocket toys and accessories can be found in retail stores nationwide. I know for a fact they are at Walmart because every time we go my daughter asks for new pieces...LOL So if you're looking for a great imaginary/pretend play toy for your preschooler then Polly Pocket, especially the ones with suction cups, are the perfect choice!
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mattel Polly Pocket. I received a product samples and a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
