My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Royal Pony Wedding Review

Finally, a My Little Pony video that also appeals to the boys! My daughter loves to watch My Little Pony and so does my son. However, my daughter is quick to remind him that My Little Pony is for girls. They are mostly girl ponies and most of the stories revolve around them only. So when I found out I was getting a chance to review a DVD about a My Little Pony wedding I was thrilled. When I saw the cover art then I knew there had to be some boy ponies involved!

Here's a little bit about the DVD that was released on this past Tuesday, August 7:

My Take: At first I expected this to be a full length film but was surprised to find that it was 5 different episodes. Now don't get me wrong, the wedding was a two part episode and my kids loved that there were more than just the wedding! My son was so excited about the movie. He loved that there was a strong boy pony that was the captain of the guard. He wanted to be just like that pony. And my daughter loved that the ponies were getting married although *spoiler alert* there is one she kept calling mean. The kids have watched the DVD three times and are asking to watch it again! Got a feeling this is going to be a DVD library favorite for awhile. And of course I couldn't leave you without a clip:


Buy it: My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Royal Pony Wedding was released on August 7 and is available in stores nationwide (my daughter saw it at Walmart yesterday). The SRP is $14.97 but Amazon has it for $11.99!
