Family Fun Dinner & Game Night- Kid's Choice Version! #DipDipHooray

Normally I try to make at least one fun dinner night a week. Most of the time I pick what we are doing and what we are eating and sometimes I allow the kids to join in with the preparing/cooking of the food. Lately I've been so busy with other things that I have kind of neglected family fun dinner night. This past week was the last week my stepson would be visiting so I thought it would be nice to have a family fun night before he left and let him and his siblings pick what we would eat and do.

Now I have to be honest on the eating and game part- I sort of had some guidelines. I wanted to highlight the sweepstakes so there were a some certain foods and games I steered the kids toward....hehehe. Let me explain a little more about the Dip To Play sweepstakes. It's hosted be Hasbro games, Tyson, Heinz and Ore Ida, four companies that my kiddos and I are very familiar with. First you head over to and register. You will then receive a free "ticket" to enter the sweepstakes where you can win a $1,000 Hasbro Game Night Grand Prize of top-rated board games and dinnertime favorites from Heinz® Ketchup, Ore-Ida® French Fries, & Tyson® Chicken Nuggets. What family wouldn't want that. AND you can enter daily along with playing fun online Hasbro games when you enter UPCs from select Heinz, Ore-Ida and Tyson packages. Learn more at DipToPlay

So I loaded up the crew and we headed to Walmart to pick out our goodies. First on the list, french fries. I didn't know that Ore-Ida had so many choices. We went with the Extra Crispy Seasoned Crinkles and threw in a bag of Ore-Ida onion rings because my stepson and I are big fans!

Then we headed to the chicken nuggets which are obviously a popular choice. There was one bag of Dino nuggets left and we thought they would be perfect.

Finally we went to get our dipping supplies. My original plan was to go with a blind taste test so I grabbed some ranch dressing and a HUGE bottle of Heinz and we were ready to go.
To see our complete shopping trip (minus kids who didn't want to be photographed, no names mentioned but this was influenced by a pre-teen...hehehe) check out my google + Album

We also needed some fun Hasbro games but I totally skipped buying some new ones and you can see why. I think I should have stock in pre-school games by now! That's not even all of them in the picture.  LOL
Dinner was great. We had a wide assortment of dipping sauces along with my stepson getting creative with an onion ring volcano complete with ketchup lava and some dinosaurs roaming close.

We also added strawberries to the meal and had molten lava cakes for dessert! YUMMY!

Hasbro game night was put on hold until later that evening because the kid's friends returned from the beach and stopped by. We decided to just include everyone in and have a kid's game night with parent supervision. I set up some gaming stations and let them go at it! It was a blast!! We even came up with the bright idea of maybe doing this once a month with other families! Spreading the #DipDipHooray fun!!
