Where in the World is Mommy's Free Time?

That's the question I've been asking myself for the past month. Blogging is my passion and I love it. I used to blog every day, several times a day. And if you know me, I love to talk write so we're talking about some long (and what I would like to think quality) posts. However these past few months life has really caught up with  me and my blog is suffering because of it.

First, my husband is now back from deployment and has been back for almost 4 months. Now I know that seems like a long time to some people but it's around this time that I'm usually getting ready to ship him back out for another deployment. That means we try to cram in all kinds of family time before then. And if you're cramming in family time then you don't have time for blogging. However, this time he's staying. Woo-hoo! No deployments this year!! So now that things are starting to semi settle down I really need to get back to my job aka my blog.

Second, health issues. Fortunately it's not me with the health issues unless you want to count terrible seasonal allergies. However, a family member of mine is having some serious health issues and I feel like I need to take the responsibility to help out. That means doctor appointments, staying over to help and lots more! That also means no time for participating in my favorite online communities, joining into great traffic gaining activities and doing reviews. AND we all know that leads into losing readers and followers. :(

Third, I've been a little selfish. Usually I'm an organized person. Lately, that has not held true. I'm one of those people who has to write down everything or I will forget. Case in point, it was time to change the air filters in our house. How did we know? The house wasn't cooling down like it should. How do we normally know? I normally write it on our family calendar. Guess who forgot to write it down?!? Instead I've been spending the time to catch up with one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows. True Blood. We no longer have HBO but the hubs got us the complete seasons when he was deployed. What better way to spend time with those you love than with vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures. :)

So what does this mean for my readers? Actually it's another apology. (I've noticed I've done that a lot lately). I'm going to try and get back to my passion. Am I going to make any promises? NOPE! But I am going to try and write at least one post a day. Look I've already done it for today! Now I'm off to play with the fam!!
