Dollar General celebrates military families! giveaway

I don't know how many people know it but June is Military Appreciation Month. Of course since we're a military family we knew. We've been particpating in all kinds of actvities, well actually, my husband participated in most. He ran the Army 10 miler which is held in honor of this special month. The kids did all kinds of cute activities at hourly care at school (they go to school on post). Our local zoo had a military appreciation day and lots of other companies have done the same, offering discounts and special rewards.

But, what do you do if you don't live in a military town? Have you heard about any military celebrations in your town? Did you know that some of the bigger companies and organizations are doing special things for our military this month? Well, Dollar General and Procter and Gamble (P&G) are two companies that are doing just that.
If you follow my blog then you have seen my monthly posts on Every Day Heroes program. Last month they celebrated moms and this month they are devoting to our armed service members. As a matter of fact, Dollar General was the winner of the 2011 Military Offices Association of America Distinguished Service Award! Now, you can honor the military heroes in your life and your community: Dollar General is offering the opportunity to upload a video about your military hero to www.dollargeneral.com/everydayheroes. Just head on over to their facebook page, record a short video and let us know about that special service member in your life.

To celebrate this Dollar General has created a prize pack consisting of: a Swiffer® 360° Duster, a set of Pringles® red computer speakers, Old Spice® Champion Deodorant, Tide® sample packs  and a Dollar General reusable shopping bag for me to give away to one lucky reader. They also sent a prize pack to me and I love it. Those reusable totes come in handy when you go shopping! So who wants to win one?

Win it: This giveaway will begin on June 19 and end on June 29. It is open to the US only. Just fill out the simple rafflecopter form to enter. Good Luck!

Disclosure: The giveaway prize and an additional prize were provided to me at no charge in exchange for sharing information about the Every Day Heroes program. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
