I'm a Deep Clean Diva! Are you? #PSCleanDiva #spon

This post is sponsored by Pine-Sol® Clean & Disinfect with Pine-Sol®: The Powerful Scent of Clean." I was compensated for this post as a member of Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all my own.

I despise cleaning! It's not something I like to do BUT I do like to think I do a great job at it. I'd even consider myself a Deep Clean Diva. I have two preschool aged kids and you can't help but be a clean freak. My son loves to put his hands in his mouth so I'm constantly running around sterilizing toys and counters with anything I can get my hands on! We also have a recent potty trainer who still has accidents. Need I say more? Any mom knows that germs hide everywhere and unless you want to spend your time taking care of sick kids then you better get to cleaning and cleaning good!

Normally, I like to vacuum, laundry, sweeping and light dusting on a weekly basis. However, you better watch out when the seasons change! That's when I go into Deep Cleaning Mode! I shampoo the carpets (as you can see in my picture this is the way I imagine a Deep Clean Diva to shampoo her carpets), I organize the kitchen shelves, I throw out old medicine, and I redo the closets. I try to get the whole family involved. I've been known to arm my kids with cleaning wipes and have them wipe the baseboards while I sweep and mop the floors. My husband joined in this year by dry walling our garage, cleaning everything in it and then reorganizing everything. We even started putting fresh coats of paint on the walls. Now don't get me wrong. That's not something we do every year but it does help to freshen your house and give it that clean feeling. And just think, we're just getting started! I even started looking on different websites for tips on how to clean and what are the best products to use for cleaning certain areas. Not only that, I try to be as "green" as possible. When you have little kids you are constantly trying to keep them away from hazardous cleaning products.

Now it's your turn! I personally would love to know who else falls into the same category as me and considers themselves a Deep Clean Diva? Do you take down all your curtains and wash them? Do you find yourself cleaning the sinks using cotton swabs to clean those hard to get places on the sink or stove? Are you constantly on the internet looking for tips on what to clean and the best way to clean it? Then you just might be a Deep Clean Diva and if you are then I have the perfect contest for you! Pine-Sol, yes that deep cleaning solution that you use on your floors, sinks, toilets, everywhere, is looking to crown the next Deep Clean Diva. It's really simple to enter. First, head on over to the Pine-Sol Facebook page, like them and click on the Pine-Sol Deep Clean Diva tab. Then a panel of judges will narrow it down to 16 semi-finalists by May 15. Then you vote for your four favorites who will then head to San Fransisco to battle it out in a REAL cleaning competition where one person will win $5,000 and be crowned the next Deep Clean Diva! 2. I'm not a clean freak, but I have been known to use bleach on the vinyl on my porch because we get a lot of mildew when the humid months roll in. I have been slowly spring cleaning and donating a bunch of things to clear the clutter that builds up over the winter months.

  4. Look at you in those heels!! Love it. I was super clean - before I had kids. I am one of those people that needs to keep hearing to "let some things go" so I can play with my kids instead of do the dishes. Blech. I hate dirty dishes :)

  5. Okay, I could totally use $5000...as long as they don't look at my house now! I like to do "quick cleans" during commercials, but every once in awhile, I have to do DEEP cleans, carpets, everything!

  8. I totally get into "Deep Clean Diva" mode when the seasons change. I go so far as to use Q-tips to clean out all the tracks in windows and sliding doors. And I've been known to precariously stand on my pergola with a swiffer covered in paper towels to clean the 2nd story windows. Yeah, it's a little crazy - but I love how clean it looks afterward!
