I Just Can't Take it Anymore! Review & Giveaway!

If you read my blog then you know I LOVE books. Sometimes I get obsessed with writing book reviews. Lately, I haven't had time to read a lot of books and I changed my focus to children's books. They are a lot quicker to read meaning I can get reviews up to my readers in less time. One of my favorite children's book from last year was Little Star by Anthony DeStefano. You can read my review HERE. Mr. DeStefano contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I would like to review his latest book, I Just Can't Take It Anymore! Encouragement When Life Gets You Down. The book was just released on February , 2012 and is available online now.  As I read the email I discovered that this was a picture book so I completely expected it to be another children's book. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was for adults! Here's a little bit more about the book:
At once straightforward and funny and yet deeply moving, the book depicts challenges we all
face: “Messy” lives, feelings of loss, abandonment, frustration, and despair. Then, step by step,
DeStefano gently nudges readers into seeing the whole picture—life with all its beauties, joys,
challenges and pleasures.

My Take: I have personally been going through a tough transition period right now in my life. My husband just returned from deployment and if you're in a military family then you know how trying it can be to just get your life back on schedule and in order. You're overwhelmed with several different feelings and I can honestly say there has been a day where I physically outloud said, "I can't take this anymore"! (As a matter of fact that happened to be yesterday). It was then I remembered this book and took it out to read. With the cute pictures and the honest, heartfelt words it was no time before I was smiling, even laughing, and feeling better about my situation. It's always good to know that others understand how you feel and that you aren't alone. That God is up there looking down on you and helping you make it through. I absolutely LOVE this book and can't wait to share it with others.

Buy it: If you want to check out some sample pages of the book (you really have to see these super cute pictures) then check out the preview pages! There is also a link at the bottom where you can purchase the book for yourself or someone else for the price of $8.70.
