Dollar General Celebrates Black History Month Giveaway!

Each week for Black History Month I have been posting activities for you to do with your kids in honor of this month and to bring awareness to it. Well, I was posting until my computer died last week. So this week I decided to do something fun. I'm going to host a great giveaway sponsored by Dollar General, P&G and Coca-Cola.

In celebration of Black History Month, Coca-Cola® is offering Dollar General customers a chance to win a family trip for up to 10 people to the 2012 Essence Music Festival® presented by Coca-Cola. The Essence Music Festival – which takes place July 6 through 8 – is the country’s largest annual African-American music and empowerment event.

The Honor Heritage Sweepstakes is part of Dollar General’s Black History Month celebration, the first of several Dollar General initiatives honoring “Every Day Heroes.” The year-long program will honor community heroes – from the firemen and veterans to teachers and caregivers.
If you want to enter this contest, and I've heard the Essence Music Festival is awesome, then check out more details HERE. The whole idea is when you purchase qualifying products, you enter a code from the package and you will have a chance to not only win the grand prize trip but also a chance to win one of several instant prizes including $50 and $25 in Live Nation® Concert Cash!

Win it: In honor of Black History Month, this contest and the new Every Day Heroes Initiative, I received this great prize pack that included Olay® Firming Night of Olay Cream, CoverGirl® LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara, Febreze® Auto in Linen & Sky scent, a Dollar General calculator and a key chain. AND guess what??? I have an additional prize pack to giveaway to one lucky reader. This giveaway will begin on Febraury 21 and end on March 7. It is open to the US only. Just fill out the simple rafflectopter form to enter!

Disclosure: This information and the prize packs were provided to me by P&G. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
