Chuao Chocolatier Review

February seems to be the month of chocolate. I guess it's because of Valentine's Day. Personally, I'm not that big of a chocolate fan. It has to be more than just chocolate to float my boat. I need to have some caramel or nuts or something! That's where Chuao Chocolatier comes in!

"Founded in 2002 by Master Chef Michael Antonorsi and his brother Richard Antonorsi - the company's Chairman of the Board; Chuao Chocolatier is pioneering “fusion chocolate” through a commitment to creating unusual, unexpected and delicious flavors using their secret blend of premium chocolate and fresh natural ingredients."
So I started browsing the site to see what yummy treats I could find. I found some of the coolest flavors ever! First there's Earl Grey Chocolate bars: Premium milk chocolate infused with the citrusy tones of bergamot oil.

Or they Panko Chocolate Bars: Premium dark chocolate with toasted panko bread crumbs and sea salt.

Then if you want something more extravagant you can go for the decadent bon-bons like Firecracker truffles (Caramel fudge, chipotle, salt & popping candy) Yummy or for those with special diets what about the wide selection of non- dairy treats!

My take: I had the pleasure of trying out two of the Chuao Chocolatier treats. For my first sample you would have thought they read my mind. It was the Potato Chips in Chocolate Bar. At first I was worried that it would basically be a chocolate covered potato chip. Instead it was the perfect blend of sweet and salty in one! Perfect! It was more of a milky. yummy chocolate bar with little crunchy, salty crisps in it! You couldn't even tell they were chips. Oh and to make it even better, they were Kettle Chips! Oh how I love this bar!!

Next I had a cute little box with a bon-bon and truffle in it! One was a Firecracker Truffle- Caramel chipotle fudge and a touch of salt exploding with layers of popping candy and dark chocolate. Can you say super yummy and super unique!?! I loved it. Even my daughter tasted it. It was so cool to feel the little pops from the popping candy and I LOVE caramel so that was perfect for me. The other was the new Love Child bonbon (an aphrodisiac blend of a port wine drenched dried strawberry in a chocolate ganache). Now this one wasn't exactly my tastes. It was super rich but still yummy! My daughter took a bite and refused to give it back! She gave it two thumbs up. Just check out the smile in the picture.

Buy it: Just head on over to Chuao Chocolatier's website to purchase your very own favorites or try something new. Or if you live in the San Diego, CA area you can visit a physical store and pick you some up immediately! Yummers!
