Finally, it’s finished! A few weeks ago I posted about this awesome opportunity I got to purchase indoor Christmas Décor from Sears to decorate my house. I’m not sure if you remember my story but I really haven’t been in the mood to decorate since this is the second year my husband will miss Christmas due to deployments. When he is here we go all out and decorate the inside and outside. However, the past two years I vowed not to decorate and just haven’t really been in the Christmas spirit.
Yet, this year, thanks to Sears and Collective Bias I was able to put big smiles on my kiddos faces by decorating our house! Previously I shared pictures of all the wonderful decorations I purchased (thanks to an awesome 30-50% off all décor sale) at Sears. Now it’s time to share the final results.
Now I must warn you, I’m no decorator. My husband is the decorating pro. I really love simple yet classic décor but here’s the kick: I have two little ones. You can’t decorate simple and classic when you have a 2 and 3 year old. Instead, I went with the theme of simple and kid friendly. Check it out:
First, I hung the awesome glowing 4 ft. bow. I didn’t realize it was actually an outside bow but it looks so pretty in our hallway.
This is the entrance to our house. I hung some pre-lit garland we already had and a homemade (family member not me) quilt. The garland was strung with hooks I purchased and then I added the red and gold bows from Sears.
Our stockings and the bells and adorable blinking reindeer I purchased.
Here’s a close up of the reindeer. Alright, honesty time, the bells were hung but then they fell so I placed them strategically around the reindeer. :/
Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree adorned with LED colored lights from Sears and school made decorations. The mantle is lined with more LED clear lights.
Finally, my favorite piece: the bookcase lined with the LED lights, nutcrackers and Shawn and Gus from Psych! Oh and the kids’ favorite, the Little People nativity scene.
So how did I do? I’m actually quite pleased. I used all my decorations I purchased and combined them with some we already had and made it festive! My kids love it and so do I. I just want to thanks Sears and Collective Bias for helping to put me in the Christmas spirit!
