Quick Breakfast with #Tysongoodness!

One of my favorite biscuits to eat in the morning is a chicken biscuit from one of my favorite fast food joints. There's only three problems with this. One, it's an expensive habit. Two, it's not healthy, and three, it's the closest restaurant to me is WAY across town! Now the kids are in school a few times a week, it's hard to get up and cook them a nice big breakfast and we don't have enough time to run across town and grab something from a fast food joint. So what's the solution?

Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches! I'm not sure if you've ever seen these at your local Walmart but you can find them in the freezer section next to the other great Tyson products or other frozen sandwich choices. It took me a little while to find them at my local Walmart because they were all the way in the back of the store but that was okay. Who doesn't like to wander around Walmart! I always find some good stuff while I'm searching. You can check out my shopping experience by viewing my google + photo album!

My task was to use these yummy sandwiches (I actually bought two packs of the sandwiches, the plain and the ones with cheddar cheese) to create a quick breakfast for me and the kids. My idea was to nuke the sandwiches and give the kids some chocolate milk. Most of the time my 2 and 3 year old don't really like to eat much in the mornings. The Tyson Mini chicken sandwiches are so easy to fix. you just stick them in the microwave for about 40 seconds on each side and they are ready to go!

However, my grandmother is visiting and the first thing she said was, "is that all you are giving them to eat"? Well, while I was at the store I also picked up some Hashbrowns and I had some eggs but I didn't think that really qualified as a quick breakfast until my grandmother gave me a great idea. She had read in a magazine a quick recipe for fixing scrambled eggs in a mug! I'd never heard of it but I couldn't wait to try it out! It's seriously very simple. Take a mug, spray it with oil, put in an egg, scramble it a bit, stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds and you're done. When you pull it out, just add some butter, cheese, salt and pepper (or whatever you would like) and you're done! You can check out my pictures below!

Obviously I loved this meal! The sandwiches were great. I added a pickle to mine and they tasted just like the restaurant I love. My daughter liked her's with honey mustard. My son, well, he's on a hot dog kick so the sandwiches didn't really float his boat this time. Maybe the next time!

Now if you really want to try these out then I have a great deal for you! Remember how I said I bought two boxes. Now I'm going to tell you why I bought two boxes. Right now if you buy two boxes of Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches at a participating Walmart you can receive a $5 Walmart Gift Card. How awesome is that. Read HERE for more details on how to participate and get your card! (Note: All Walmart stores do not sell Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches. Check out the store locator to find a store near you).

  1. Those sandwiches look so tasty and that is quite an awesome deal with the Walmart card! My Mom is the same way with what I feed Little Bit. I think she would feed him until he popped ;D

  2. Emmi - I have been cooking scrambled eggs like that for YEARS now! My oldest was a scrambled egg fiend when she was little. I got tired of pan cooking them so figured this out. And my Bug loves the chicken minis! I love finding quick and easy stuff to fix at home!
