HDG #Review: Strawberry Shortcake:Bright Lights, Big Dreams

My daughter is a big fan of Strawberry Shortcake and I have to admit I am too! When I was little I had the entire collection of dolls and all their extras (like the little houses in the shapes of their fruit or flower). My favorite was Orange Blossom. I'm not a big fan of oranges but she was the only one who looked like me. I had all of her stuff! Now that they have this new, updated version of Strawberry Shortcake, I've really been letting my daughter explore the characters and see which is her favorite. And what's the easiest way to do that without buying all the toys? Why watching a movie of course! We recently previewed Strawberry Shortcake's latest hit: Bright Lights, Big Dreams!

Arriving just in time for the holidays, our deliciously sweet girl next door takes a new turn as STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE: BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG DREAMS comes to DVD November 1 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. It's time to dazzle and dream with Strawberry and her friends as they compete for some berry special prizes.  Whether it’s spinning and twirling in the annual dance-off, or beating a world record, there is nothing these girls can’t try.  But when the road to success seems overwhelming, they soon discover that the real key to being a winner is just having fun with your friends.

My Take:  My kids loved this one, although anything that involves music, singing and dancing is a hit with them. I kept looking into the living room to see them up and dancing around trying to do the same moves as the characters. I also tried to figure out which character was my daughter's favorite but she just kept saying, "all of them". LOL The movie was also a perfect length! It held their attention almost the entire time and they can't wait to watch it again! Another perfect stocking stuffer for that special little girl in your life.

Buy it: Strawberry Shortcake was released on DVD on November 1 and is available in stores now! Not to mention it would make a great Christmas gift!

For you: I have a great coloring sheet that you can click on to print out and color.
