HDG #Review: Mr Popper's Penguins
If your kids are like mine then they love movies! Last year for Christmas I went crazy and bought a ton of Scooby Doo DVDs for stocking stuffers. So this year, since I've cleared out the Scooby library, I've moved on to other movies. The latest is Mr. Popper's Penguins!
My Take: Ok I must admit I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old so attention span to actual movies and not cartoons isn't very long. This movie is 1 hour and 40 minutes which is a little long for my kids. However, they did try to watch as much as they could! What's sad to say is they especially loved the parts when the penguins were getting potty trained and when they were sliding through the charity event. Of course, anything about causing trouble they love! It just so happens that my grandmother was visiting and she watched it with the kids. I could hear her laughing the entire time. And then as for me, I was all into the parental relationships part. I also have a boy and girl and I was totally into the parts where Jim Carrey is relating to his teenage daughter's problems. Actually it kind of scared me! LOL. All in all- this is a super cute movie that is perfect for any age (obviously, there were 3 generations in my house that all loved it)! So I think this would make a perfect gift or stocking stuffer!
Buy it: Mr. Popper's Penguins will be released for purchase today, Dec 6 on blu ray and DVD.
