HDG- #Review & #Giveaway: Doodle Roll

My kids love to draw so I'm always looking for art supplies and craft ideas for them. The only problem is I'm not that creative and they are at the age where making a mess is more fun than actually creating or finished a project. Now when I look for art products I look for things that are neat, tidy and don't make a big mess. That's where Doodle Roll comes in!

Doodle Roll is this awesome little portable craft created by Marc and Diana Cooper. It is basically an art kit comprised of a roll of paper and crayons all stored in a cute little plastic carrying case. The cool thing about the case is, the kids can pull out as little or as much paper as they need to create their own colorful creations.

Of course these are perfect for all kinds of occassions. We particularly use ours for quick trips. the kids can't really color with them in the car because they don't have anything hard to sit them on but if we're visiting friends or something it gives them something to do while the adults talk. These are also perfect for Christmas stockings. They aren't very big and actually come in two sizes: 6" and 4". I have two kids and the little one wanted the 4" and the big one wanted the 6". Go figure! LOL

When we got our Doodle Rolls the kids were too excited to use them. I didn't even get a chance to do a project with them. I had wanted them to unroll them some and then I would call a color and they would draw with it! Yep, didn't happen. Instead they unrolled them and started to draw. There was only one problem. Since it is rolled into the packet, when you unroll it the paper tends to try and roll back up. There's an easy solution to this one. Just take a piece of tape and attach the end of the paper to the table. If you don't want to use tape, then place a book or heavy object on the end to keep it from rolling. Worked perfect for my kiddos. Check out the pictures of all the fun they had. My daughter loved using it to work on her ABCs. Perfect for preschoolers!

Buy it: You can purchase the Doodle Roll from various stores (check out the store list HERE) or from their very own online store (mainly bulk orders or replacement paper and crayons). The Doodle Roll retails for the price of $14 for the package I received. Keep up with Doodle Roll on Facebook and Twitter to learn about the newest products and promotions.

Win it: I have a Doodle Roll to give away to one lucky reader! This giveaway will begin on Nov. 8 and end on Nov. 22. It is open to the US only. Just fill out the simple rafflecopter form to enter!
