Being military and always moving has really opened my eyes to all the beautiful places in our country. My husband and I have decided that one thing we want to do when we retire is try to visit all the states. So far we're doing pretty good. I'm constantly looking for new places to visit and the latest on my list is Missouri. I found out all this great information on this state that I really knew nothing about and now I'm intrigued.
Apparently one of the best times to visit Missouri is in the fall and one city that has a ton to do is Branson. I never knew there was so much to do. But first you need somewhere to stay and I found the perfect place: the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing . They offer some great packages that include accomadations and attractions. Check them out:
You can visit Silver Dollar City which is an 1880s themed park right in the Ozark Mountains and I LOVE mountains. I grew up in the mountains. It looks like so much fun! The coolest thing is the DUCk ride! You just have to check it out...a boat that goes from the road to the water! The Silver Dollar City package features two adult and two children's tickets and rooms starting at $257.50/night.
Then there's the Santa Claus Package where you get deluxe accommodations for a family of four (two adults and two children) and breakfast with Santa at the Level 2 restaurant with a special gift for the children. Rooms start at just $228 a night.
Finally, for those shoppers, like me, you can even get a shopper's package that includes: hotel accommodations, a $25 gift card to Branson Landing, a second $25 gift card to Tanger Outlets, and complimentary breakfast buffet for two! Branson Landing is the perfect place to do all of your holiday shopping. And if you're like me you like to get started Christmas shopping as early as you can!
Now don't forget there is also lots to do around the Hilton Branson Hotels! Right across the street from the hotel is the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel where you can visit the Level 2 steakhouse for some fine dining. This is a new restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, including yummy steaks cooked just the way you like them. And the best part is you can charge it right to your room! =) Now that's what I call service.
I'm working on getting together all my ideas and then presenting them to my husband when he gets back! I figure that with the crisp cool weather fall would be the perfect time for this trip. That leaves us a whole year to plan it and I'd love for him to be in on the details. However, if you're looking for somewhere to go during the fall break, I suggest you check out Branson!
