Shop & Swap with #ClearAmerican!

I'm not much of a water drinker and unfortunately my kids are but at the same time they aren't. They won't drink just regular old water; they have to have the flavored kind. Yet, just like soda, flavored water is more expensive than regular water. So what do you do? Well if you're me then you continue to buy the flavored water and just keep reintroducing plain water while looking for a cheaper flavored water alternative. And now I think I've found it.

Thanks to #CBias (Collective Bias for those of who don't know) sent me on a mission to Walmart (Oh how I love Walmart) to purchase Clear American Sparkling Flavored water.

Clear American Sparkling Flavored water is only sold at Walmart and there are over 12 different flavors. Of course I found out that it's so popular that my Walmart has a hard time keeping it stocked. But with a price of $.68 I can see why. And there are no calories, no sugars, no caffeine, and no sodium! Perfect!

I think I had seen the water a few times but I'd never thought of trying it with the kids. So why not try it now!?! My mission was to purchase some water and then play a little trick on the kids. Let me set up the story.

My kids go to part time hourly care. They are only there for half a day and I pick them up before their snack time. For this reason I like to bring some water and a snack for them when I pick them up. It's been so hot outside and I know they are limited with how much they can drink at school. So I decided to do the switcheroo then! First I took their every day water, Nestle Pure Life Orange Splash and switched it with Clear American Tangerine Lime (it was the closest flavor that our Walmart had left. Actually I went back yesterday and got the Mandarin Orange which is even closer). I put it into their water bottles which are stainless steel so they couldn't see what was inside.

When I gave them their cups in the car I didn't say anything. My daughter took a sip and then just kept drinking. I asked her if she liked it and she said, "Mama I like new water! MMM. I want more"! Score 1! The little one took a sip and just made a face. I wasn't sure if he really liked it or not. However, when we got home at dinner time he asked for "Sprite" to drink. I told him I didn't have any and he said, "Sprite, like school" and showed me his water bottle. So he likes it and thinks it's Sprite! Good deal! I'd rather give him sparkling water any day over a soda!

As a matter of fact I'm not even drinking soda anymore. I've replaced it with Clear American. It's working perfect with my new getting in shape and healthy routine. There are so many flavors that I never get bored. I really think everyone should give it a try. If you want to see my entire story from beginning to end then check out my This Moment story below! As a matter of fact go ahead and follow Clear American on Twitter and Facebook so you can keep up with the latest news.

  1. YAY Emmi! Good for you! We made the swap over a month ago and it's awesome and the flavors just keep coming! Your kids are ADORABLE!

  2. What cutie pies! Don't you just love how the little ones aren't really that picky. They just want something :-)

  3. Those are cute cups and of course your kids are adorable!! ;)

  4. I just have to ask... how did it work putting the bubbly water inside the water bottles. I'm always afraid that it's going to spray everywhere when you open it so we either drink it from the original bottle or from a glass.

Glad the kids liked it. So great to have some alternatives to soda pop!
