Remember my post a few weeks ago about Member's Mark 4x Probiotics? Well, it's result time! I have been using the product for 11 days now, almost two weeks. So I know you are dying to know my results. BUT first here's a reminder about probiotics, what they are and why I decided to use them.
Probiotics are bacteria that help maintain a healthy digestive system. They also help support a healthy immune system. So why did I need to start taking them? Do I have any real or confirmed digestive problems? Nope. Never been diagnosed with anything. However, my diet hasn't been that great or healthy in the past. Right before my husband deployed we tried to get in all his favorite meals and eat out at all his favorite places. Was I complaining while we were eating? Heck no! I love food. However, later my tummy would complain, including bloating, cramps and constipation. (Yeah I know the last one was a little TMI but it's true).

Did I take it everyday? Oops...no! I'm terrible with taking things daily although the packs are split up into weekly allotments with the days on the back (at least I know which days I miss).
What did it look like? They are easy to swallow caplets. I never believe anything that says easy to swallow. I prefer to find liquid forms of the medications I take or gummies (hehehe- like my vitamins). The pills however were small but a little chalky tasting if you had trouble getting them down. I like to take mine with juice and a meal.
How did it work? Work it did! Be prepared for the TMI. I'm a pretty regular girl. I don't have to go everyday but I also don't stay constipated! I like to thank drinking coffee on that one. However, it's been so hot I don't drink coffee that often. The first day I took the probiotic, I had to go just like clockwork. I didn't contribute it to the supplement though. By the 4th day I had been hitting the wash room every day! Perfect! Just what it was supposed to do.
Suggestions: Don't take this supplement at night. I've noticed if I take it too late (I almost forgot one day and took it before bed) then you might have to wake up early to run to the bathroom. Also don't take it before going somewhere. It's not like I have to run to the bathroom but I know that sooner or later that day I'm going to have to go and I just prefer to use my own facilities! =) I guess it might be working a little too good for me! Also, a liquid form or a gummy is a suggestion. Just for people like me who are terrible at swallowing pills!
Overall thoughts: I honestly like using probiotics. I haven't felt bloated since I started using them, including today when I had these awesome brats with sauerkraut. I just knew I would be hurting afterwards but so far so good! I already give probiotics to my kids in their yogurt so it was only a natural progression for me to use them to and I'm happy I did.
