Payless 10% discount for the Military

Now this is some awesome news that I just saw on my friend's, Making Ends Meet, blog. There are several shoe stores out there that offer the 10% or similar discount to the military. I love Payless shoes, especially BOGO, and I just assumed that they would do a military discount (we live in a military city) and was shocked when we were told they didn't. Actually they told the lady who was in line in front of me and she was just as shocked as I was. We both said we were going to contact the company. I actually did send an email but I never heard back. BUT I guess they were listening. Check this out:

Payless is launching its new and ongoing discount program for US Military Servicemen and Women.  According to their press release, the discount will be available in the US, as well as Puerto Rico.  The 10% discount will be available to both service members and their immediate family and, though it launches this holiday weekend, it is expected to be an ongoing discount.

Key Points:

  • ID is required - be sure to have your military/dependent ID card on you when you shop
  • The discount is stackable with other discounts (such as bogo sales)
  • This is a Brick and Mortar discount only (not for online shopping)
  • See restrictions - not valid for Shopko Paylesses in the Midwest.
