Review & Giveaway: Tide goes Retro

I am a big time Tide user and I have been since I was little. It was the detergent of choice for my mom and it has stayed the detergent of choice for me. I've seen the Tide label change many times over my lifetime but little did I know how much it has really changed until now! Check out this information:

In a bygone era when women wore dresses and high heels to carry their families’ laundry in a wicker basket to their very first automatic washing machine, they turned to Tide for “the cleanest clothes possible.”  More than a half-century later, families still turn to Tide, now offered in more than two dozen liquid and powder formulas. To celebrate its 65^th Anniversary, Tide is issuing special-edition packages with the 1947 label. Procter & Gamble (P&G) invites consumers to enjoy a blast from the past with retro-packaged Tide, Bounce and Downy available at Target in May, while supplies last.

Yes, I know all women just love to still do laundry and chores in dresses and high heels! I do, don't you? hehehe. The limited edition packages are out now. I've still seen a few in my local Target. However, here's a warning, just because you buy these products does not mean you have to do your laundry in heels...hehehe!

My Take: I received the package pictured below. It consisted of: a “Retro” t-shirt (featuring  the Tide logo on  blue shirt), samples of Tide and Downy and a full size Bounce Dryer Bar. There was also a $1 off Tide coupon included!

My thoughts on the products? Well of course I've used the Tide, I always use it to wash our clothes so that was nothing new. I usually pick the scent with febreeze in it but even the regular kind smells great! The Downy I haven't used yet simply because I prefer dryer sheets over liquid fabric softener. And the bounce Dryer ball I gave to my mom who loves using them. I can't use them in my dryer because I have kids with sensitive skin and we prefer to use Tide free and clear products on their clothes (including the Bounce free and clear dryer sheets).
