review: Chili's Tripple Dipper

I love eating out and I love Chili's Bar and Grill. Now I must admit I wasn't always a fan of Chili's. The food was only mediocre to me. When they started doing those awesome coupons for Kids eating free then I just had to go. We like to take the kids to dine out but with two kids and two parents the bill can get kind of steep! Those coupons really help.

Recently, my husband and I decided to take a little night to ourselves. I guess it was like a date night. My mom watched the kids and we had the entire day and night alone! Can you say FREEDOM!! So we decided to hit up Chili's for lunch. My husband loves to order appetizers but we can never decide on what to get. Well, with the Chili's triple dipper you don't have to worry about that. The Triple Dipper is Three Appetizers, Three dips, One Happy You! With the addition of two types of Potato Skins, and the all-new Honey Chipotle Shrimp, Chili’s list of appetizers just got even better! The Triple Dipper promotion gives diners the chance to mix and match any three appetizers and dipping sauces of their choice for the perfect meal.

This is a picture of the menu! I was trying to get all your choices in there but it's really not that clear. Here's a list of your choices: NEW! Loaded Potato Skins • NEW! Memphis BBQ Skins • NEW! Honey-Chipotle Shrimp • Big Mouth® Bites • Boneless Buffalo Wings • Southwestern Eggrolls • Chicken Crispers® • Wings Over Buffalo® • Fried Cheese • Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip.

We decided to go for the fried cheese, hot spinach and artichoke dip and the boneless buffalo wings! It looked so yummy when it came out:
I thought I had pictures of my husband but I didn't because he was the one taking all the pictures! (He didn't want any of him eating...hehehe). He even took a picture of me checking in using FourSquare. I was hoping I would find a Chili's coupon but there weren't any. HINT HINT Chili's. =)
Now on to the food. I thought the Triple Dipper looked a little small at first. Then we started eating. There was so much food for two people that we had to box up the rest of our order and take it with us! I was really surprised. I loved the boneless wings but I thought the dip tasted a little too much like a frozen dip and the fried cheese wasn't anything spectacular. HOWEVER, it was still all yummy! And our service was great! I wanted to take a picture of the server but she wouldn't let me. She was so awesome. I got a lunch special that came with chips and salsa but didn't have room in my belly to eat it all. When I asked if I could bag it up she actually came back with a bag of new chips! If you've never been to chili's then you don't know about how they put there chips into a plastic bag that can be placed in the microwave. You just heat the chips up for 45 seconds and they taste just like they did in the restaurant!

  1. Mmmm that looks good. I'm not much of a Chili's person, but I haven't been in years. Maybe it's time I gave it another try!
