Dreyer's Ice Cream Social

We love hanging out with friends and we love parties! In our new neighborhood there are lots of kids the same age as mine so we created a playgroup. It's been so hot that we've wanted to do a playdate ice cream social but we were just waiting for the right day! Well, thanks to Collective Bias and Dreyer's ice cream, today was the day.

Lucky me, I was able to go shopping at my local Harris Teeter and pick up some yummy ice cream and superb toppings to create an ice cream sundae bar! Just planning it had me excited. I tried to make a list but I knew there was no need. Once I saw stuff I would want everything...hehehe. I was so excited and in a hurry I didn't even do my normal search for coupons. I had a few other stops I needed to make so I was in a bit of a rush to get everything before the party tonight at 6:30pm.  I also knew that the kids would go crazy in the store if they saw me getting ice cream so I left them with their Dad and took my Mother-in-Law with me!

The ice cream we were asked to purchase just happened to be Dreyers. Well, down south we call Dreyers, Edys. It's kind of like Carl's Jr. and Hardees being the same. So I went to Teeters (yeah that's what we southerners call it) and got my ice cream. I love that the ice cream was already on sale, $5.39 compared to $6.29! There were so many choices I didn't even know what to choose...like coconut pineapple...YUCK! I remembered that it was a party for toddlers so I stuck with the basics: Chocolate, vanilla and chocolate fudge brownie for the adults...hehehe. Then I chose TONS of toppings. Sprinkles, hot fudge, caramel, M&Ms, jelly beans, Nestle Goobers and Raisinets, and of course Whip Cream!! I even picked up some waffle cones and bowls that were on sale 2 for $5!! Finally, you know I couldn't forget the dogs! I picked up some Frosty Paws for my pup! You can check out my complete shop in my intersect story.

Now for the party! It was a blast. There were 8 kids and 8 adults! 16 people! Everyone loved the ice cream. Just look at my cute ice cream bar I created:

Everyone enjoyed making their own creations and then heading outside in the amazingly cool weather (it's normally 90 degrees at this time of night but it was actually a comfortable 80). I even created a cute video for you to see all of our fun. Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it! =)

  1. What fun! We do neighborhood ice cream parties all the time - such a great summer thing to do. Kind of makes me want to have some ice cream right now.

  2. Yummy! And Tinkerbell? We love Tinkerbell? She is our favorite!

Give me some comment loving!
