As everyone knows my husband is in the military and recently returned from a deployment. While he's gone I like to support him and our military in any way that I can so when I find companies that support the troops I love to help them in any way I can. Lucky for me I was chosen to do a review for an awesome company that supports families of the troops in a big and fashionable way. That company is: Militaryhandbag.com.
In 2007, Eve, founder and designer of Militaryhandbag.com, combined her love of designing and creating with her dream of helping others. She expanded her handbag business and launched Militaryhandbag.com, a project that specializes in creating custom handbags and accessories from recycled military fatigues. This venture was built upon the belief that their handbags would serve as a personal, constant reminder of loved ones that have just returned, are presently serving, or have sacrificed their lives defending our country. Through this mission, Eve also met and fell in love with a truly special United States sergeant, Jeremy, completing Eve’s American Dream of both having a successful, meaningful business and having a family.
Militaryhandbag.com has an awesome variety of bags and accessories to choose from and the process is really simple. They take recycled uniforms and turn them into unique and fashionable accessories that support, recognize and honor our armed forces. First, you browse the selection of handbags and accessories HERE. Not only can you choose from handbags but you can also browse their line of items for babies (including blankets and burp cloths), kids (handbags and stockings) or even bride-to-be (clutch or garter). Here's a few of my favorite designs:
Now on to the process: Once you have chosen which item you would like to buy you then get to customize it. You can choose to send in your own recycled uniform or use what the company already has in stock. Militaryhandbag.com will make these items out of an armed forces uniform you send in, including ones listed HERE. Next you choose your closure, magnetic or ribbon and then the lining color. Finally you can visit the embellishment pages and choose any extras from name tags to embroidery to be added to your bag. Then you sit back and wait for your awesome item to be created. Of course if you choose to send in your own uniform (which I think is more sentimental). And with their new program you can get your shipping for free! You simply go to the USPS get a free priority mailing box, send in your uniform and with your finished product you will receive a reimbursement check! How awesome is that!
My Take: I had the opportunity to choose the bag I wanted and due to time constraints we chose to have the company supply the uniform. First, I must say it was a really difficult task to pick just one bag! All the bags and accessories are awesome! I just browsed through and saw at least 3 or 4 more items that I would love to purchase! BUT on to my purchase. I chose the Patience bag (I just love all the names for the items) pictured below:

Buy it: My bag, Patience retails for $85 without embellishments. Other bags and items range anywhere from $25 on up. You can check out the complete line of bags and accessories HERE! Also, be sure to follow Militaryhandbag.com on Facebook and Twitter. You'll find all the latest designs and promotions there!
Win it: Eve is so awesome she is actually giving away a Prosperity wallet (I love this wallet) that is pictured above! This wallet retails for $25 so it's an awesome prize. This giveaway will begin on February 24 and end on March 10. It is open to the USA, APO, and FPO. The winner will be chosen via random.org and notified by email. They will then have 48 hrs to respond before another winner is chosen. Just leave a comment to enter.
