CLOSED SSF Review & Giveaway: Zubbles

UPDATE: Extra Entries Added!
My kids love bubbles! My two year old recently learned how to blow bubbles so that's all she wants to do when she goes outside. My one year old thinks he can blow bubbles but it's usually me that has to take over for him! That's why I'm excited to introduce my first Safe Summer Fun Review and Giveaway item:

Zubbles! Zubbles are the world's first colored bubbles! Zubbles come in two colors: Presto Pink and Blazing Blue (although I believe they are in the works to add more colors in the future). These colorful bubbles have come out in vibrant colors and the ink disappears on contact. It is non-staining and non-toxic, just what every mom wants to hear!

My Take: I must say I was a little weary about these bubbles actually being colorful. I've seen colored bubbles before and they really aren't all that special. I received samples of the Presto Pink and the Blazing Blue bubbles. I was even more worried about these bubbles when I opened the actual container. There was a dark ink looking liquid inside that was screaming, " I stain! Beware!" OK maybe that was just in my head but I could have sworn I was right! I let Big LuvBug try out the bubbles first. I mean it was that or get tackled! She blew a bubble and was so excited to see the color she chased it down! Of course in the process of chasing it down she spilled some on her shirt. HELLO! Heart attack! Dark purple looking ink was spread over her cute little summer shirt. I frantically grabbed a wet cloth and began wiping. And it DISAPPEARED! Hallelujah! They didn't lie! The solution came right off and didn't leave a visible mark. Of course my second heart attack came when Lil LuvBug decided he wanted to put the wand in his mouth, but then I remembered they were non-toxic! (And no I didn't continue to let him do this!)
These bubbles are awesome, although I must admit I'm tired of hearing the kids chant Bubbles everyday because they want to use them. This is a great summer activity for any kid (or adult) to enjoy!  I was pleased with the color and pleased with the lack of stains! The only negative I could find is the number of bubbles that can be blown. No matter how hard I tried I could only blow about 6 or 7 bubbles at a time. And they were never that big!

Buy it: Right now Zubbles can be purchased online from the Zubbles store  in quantities of 1oz bottles, 4oz bottles, 1oz cases, 4oz cases, and gallon containers. You can even pick up a Zubbles T-shirt!

Win it: One lucky Mommy's Free Time reader can win their very own set of the Presto Pink and Blazing Blue 1oz bubbles to try out for themselves.  The giveaway will begin on June 21 and end on July 8. This giveaway is open to the US and Canada! Just fill out the form below to enter. The winner will be chosen via random.org and notified by email. They will then have 48 hrs to respond before another winner is chosen.

I'm trying something new this week! All giveaway entries can be submitted in the comments section of this post.

  1. I learned that they are working on making more colors available in a "magic" formula (color that eventually fades), but will not release them until next spring at the earliest for safety testing!
