I'm all about trying out all these different organic fruit and veggie pouches that are out there. I really want to give my kids something that is healthy, tastes good and is quick. I'm just not much of a cook so quick and easy is the best for me. I just recently contacted Peter Rabbit Organics because I wanted to try their new organic fruit pouches. I love rabbits and Peter Rabbit was one of my favorite books growing up! Little did I know, the next day I would win a giveaway for the exact same thing! Peter Rabbit Organics was still excited to have me review their products and I was excited to do so!
A little bit about Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Pouches:
Their fruit puree pouches are all organic, contain 100% fruit, and never have added sugar or anything artificial. You won’t have to read the label – the fruit you see on the front is what’s inside! If you do read the label you’ll see your snacks are high in vitamin C, have between 70 and 85 calories, 0 fat (of course – it’s fruit!) and 1.5-2 grams of fiber. PeterRabbit Organics don’t require refrigeration before eating and come in BPA-free resealable pouches for easy packing. Plus, the convenient, squeezy pouch (with a no-choke cap) makes it fun and easy for little hands! I couldn't have said it better myself!
At Peter Rabbit Organics™ our aim is simple: to provide healthy, organic snacks for all to enjoy.
My Take: I was so excited when I got the box of these fruit pouches. There were three different flavors: Strawberry and Banana, Apple and Grape, and Mango, Banana and Orange. All sounded yummy to me! My one year old really loves things that make him feel independent and feeding himself is his newest feat to tackle. When he saw the fruit pouches he couldn't wait to try them. He grabbed the strawberry and banana and asked me to "op" (open) it for him. He was so excited he actually squeezed a little too hard and got it on my hand. Well, like any other mom, I licked it right off. WOW! It was yummy. Mashed up fruit with no sugar doesn't really sound appealing to an adult but these were great. I almost wanted to pop one open for myself (SHHH!).
At dinner I decided to let Ms. Picky (Big LuvBug) try out the pouches. Her first reaction (before she even tasted it) was "yuck". That was until I squeezed a little of the Mango, Banana, and orange into her mouth! She loved it so much she wanted another one to eat. How could I resist? As long as she let me have some too!
These are going to be perfect for my family. We are getting ready to take a road trip to visit relatives 13 hrs. away and the kids will need some snacks. I normally like to have cut grapes or apples but it's almost impossible to keep them fresh and cold when you're in the car. The great thing about these pouches are they don't have to be refrigerated. The kids just screw off the cap and squeeze. If they don't finish it all, I can put the top back on and stick it in the cooler!
